EDCI552 Advanced Integrated Literacy II: Field Experience and Practicum

During the Summer Session I Literacy Assessment and Research courses, candidates developed a data management system in collaboration with each other. During Fall Term, they operationalized this system, populating it with data from their students. This field experience and practicum sustains and extends this data management system and continues documentation of routines or interventions employed and students' response to those interventions. As students meet critical instructional targets, this data management system must be refined, and some data collection will end for students where there is clear evidence of mastery. As the process continues, candidates will complete Research Briefs on each action research project undertaken and completed and will share outcomes with other members of their cohort.
