MAST197 Practicum for the Medical Assistant

Practicum for the Medical Assistant provides the student opportunity to complete required hands-on clinical practicum hours to complete the minimum requirement of 160 combined hours of supervised clinical and administrative practicum work in approved healthcare settings. In these settings, students will be expected to perform procedures and demonstrate skills that they learned throughout the medical assistant program. The student will develop essential application requirements for employment as a medical assistant. Upon course completion, students will demonstrate skill as an entry-level medical assistant and a professional member of the healthcare team.
