MAST156 Clinical Procedures II
Clinical Procedures II is a combination of classroom instruction and clinical skills. The course introduces theory and techniques required of the medical assistant in performing fundamental clinical skills at an intermediate level. Competency in the entry level clinical procedures is demonstrated through successful procedure sign-off. Topics and/or skills covered include the medical assistant's role in cardiology procedures, OB/GYN examinations, pediatric examinations, the physician's office laboratory, and specimen collection/processing. Students will earn an American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification.
