MAST170 Pharmacology for the Medical Assistant

Pharmacology for the Medical Assistant introduces the use of therapeutic medications and vaccinations in a medical setting; measurement, dosage conversions, dosage calculation; and immunization schedules. Classification of drugs, scheduled drugs, clinical use and side effects of commonly prescribed medications are introduced. Specific competency simulations focus on safety, qualify assurance, and correct administration and documentation of oral, noninjectable and injectable medications, and vaccinations.
