AUTO105 Basic Engine Repair

Basic Engine Repair introduces the theories, operations, and components used in the 4-stroke internal combustion engine. Includes disassembly and reassembly of engines to gain experience in hand tool use, proper engine repair, and evaluation procedures. Includes basic automotive inspection for potential failures, knowledge of different fluid and oil types, and diagnostic trouble-shooting. The course is structured around a standardized task sheet from the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). Includes relevant mathematics and science content.
