AUTO100 Introduction to Auto Mechanics

Introduction to Auto Mechanics provides an introduction to shop safety, work organization, and professional behaviors in the workplace. Students will identify the types of hazardous materials used in automotive repair, use personal protection equipment (PPE), and correctly use and dispose of hazardous materials. In addition, students will utilize appropriate safety procedures, describe tools used, relevant service publications, proper shop layout and operation, and list both professional and workplace responsibilities and practice.
