EDCI569 Evaluating Reciprocity Through Mentorship/Leadership

Reciprocity is a central value of the Séliš (Salish), Ql̓ispé (Pend d’Oreille), & Ksanka (Kootenai) people. Practicing reciprocity means giving back to the community and individuals in kind what has been given to you. Candidates in the Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction developed a plan to give back in a variety of ways in Fall Quarter. In this course they will report out on the outcomes of that plan, sharing how they practiced reciprocity by mentoring others, sharing with colleagues and community members, supporting parents, or engaging in cultural and community events. They will evaluate the degree to which they fulfilled their personal or professional obligation to give back.
