SCWK170 Adventure Based Counseling

This course provides students with an overview of Adventure Based Counseling (ABC) with individuals, groups, and families. The course offers a general overview of how adventure-based counseling can be used to address mental/emotional and ddrug-addiction problems, primarily in youth. Students will learn the ABC process with details of specific activities to stimulate ideas about how experiential adventure programming can help facilitate insight and positive action for youth and families struggling with drug abuse.
