NURS444R Health Promotion, Health Protection, Disease Prevention

This Health Promotion Course is for the experienced registered nurse. The course is designed to build on the knowledge from clinical practice. The course focuses on the promotion of healthy lifestyles, behaviors to protect health, and disease prevention. The role of the family, cultlure, human development, an genetics are integral to the study of health promotion, health protection, and disease prevention. Risk factors are explored using epidemiological sources and individual, family, and group assessments to determine evidence-based nursing interventions.
