NURS495 Senior Practicum

The Senior Practicum is the culmination of the student clinical experience. Precepted nursing practice experience is completed for a total of 120 hours. The transition to a graduate nurse is identified and examined. Clinical locations are chosen by the nursing program's Director of Experiential Learning in a variety of acute care or community settings, depending on student interest. Student schedules are coordinated with healthcare facilities. While every effort is made to place students where they would like to complete their 120 hours, it is not guaranteed depending on facility capacity.
