EDUC397 Teaching Secondary Math in the Middle Grades

Teaching Secondary Mathematics - Middle Grades provides research-based and standards supported strategies for teaching math in the middle grades (5-8). Focus will be on development of grade appropriate lessons which support process standards as well as content standards that can be used in classrooms with diverse mathematical abilities. Imbedded in this course is a practicum consisting of 10 hours of observation/presentation in middle grade math classes.
