MAST190 Externship for the Medical Assistant

Externship for the Medical Assistant provides the student with 160 hours of hands on clinical and administrative practicum work in an approved healthcare setting. In a practicum setting, students will be expected to perform procedures and demonstrate skills that they learned throughout the medical assistant program. Students will not receive compensation/payment, monetary or otherwise for the practicum experience. Upon completion, students should demonstrate skill as an entry-level medical assistant and a professional member of the healthcare team.
