BLDG106 Introduction to Materials Handling and Rigging
Introduction to Materials Handling and Rigging covers proper procedures, techniques, and safety guidelines for lifting, stacking, transporting, and unloading materials such as brick, pipe, and various other building materials and supplies. The course also provides an overview of the various types of rigging equipment, common hitches used during a rigging operation, and the related Emergency Stop hand signal. The course aligns with NCCER Module 00106, Introduction to Basic Rigging, and Module 00109, Introduction to Materials Handling, and prepares learners to complete the NCCER module completion certificates for the two topics covered. These modules are part of the NCCER Core: Introduction to Basic Construction Skills certification curriculum.
