2024-2025 Catalog

PSYC374 Biological Psychology II

Biological Psychology II is a continuation of PSYC 231, Biological Psychology, going more deeply into the three-way interactions among biological factors, human experience, and the environment. Processes only briefly covered in PSYC 231 will be more deeply explored. Impacts of biology on human development, memory and learning, consciousness and attention, hormones and sexual behavior, and other behavioral systems will be addressed in this course. Brief introductions to the topics of social neuroscience and neuro-counseling may be included. The focus will be on activities, labs, and presentations more than on traditional testing.
