HYDR101 Introduction to Hydrology
This course provides an introduction to a critical natural resource upon which all life depends. Topics include the main processes of the hydrologic cycle, including precipitation, evaporation and transpiration, runoff, infiltration and groundwater. Other topics include forest hydrology, water quality and quantity, ground water - surface water interaction, pollution sources and transport, water storage and supply, tribal views of the resource, and water management issues. Field trips will provide hands-on experience related to tribal and world issues.
