NURS190 Nursing Internship

Nursing Internship offers a structured program of participation in long term care. This clinical practicum opportunity is 30 hours per clinical credit hour. The course offers the opportunity to practice hands-on, direct patient care while working one-on-one with a professional registered nurse. The course will assist students to apply their understanding of pathophysiology, pharmacology, and fundamentals in nursing while caring for patients in a long term care setting. Students will keep a log of hours worked and a weekly reflective journal. Students must submit an application for the internship in the spring quarter for acceptance into this course.
