FTVP241 The Fine Photographic Print

This interpretive black and white printing class will focus on making prints that enhance the expressiveness of an image. Students will establish a solid grounding in their printmaking skills to enhance the effectiveness of the image. Choice of photographic paper, surface, tonality image size, subtle burning and dodging, contrast control, toning, and other manipulations will be explored. The class will include an introduction to alternative printing methods, large-scale print, using weekly assignments.
