ARTD111 Fundamentals of Art and Design

Fundamentals of Art and Design focuses on the creation, design, and composition of images using a variety of medial. Students can expect to gain understanding of how and what makes pictures "work". Heavy emphasis will be placed on art fundamentals, especially picture space and composition. Class topics/projects will focus on the elements of art and the principles of design with special emphasis on how these elements and principles show up in art from different cultures and historical periods.(Critical Thinking Course)
