MAST141 Human Disease I

Human Disease I focuses on introduction to structural organization of the human body, body systems, and disease processes associated with each system. The concepts of prevention, treatment, nutrition, and symptom management will be discussed. Commonly prescribed pharmacological agents will be introduced. The cultural considerations of the Native population will be emphasized. Students will gain the knowledge necessary to be able to explain procedures, treatments and instructions received from the Health Care Provider to the patient and their families.
