MAST133 Clinical Skills I

Clinical Skills I teaches competency of MA’s skills and responsibilities in both the front and back office of a clinical setting. Skills include vital signs, patient intake procedure, documentation of personal health information, asepsis, office procedures, electronic health record (EHR) system and other skills and duties applicable to the MA in a medical office setting. Students will be introduced to current Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) testing. Upon successful completion of course, students will have also earned a nationally recognized certificate in Blood Borne Pathogens and Universal Precautions.
