Certification in Python Data Analysis
Program Description
The Python Data Analysis Workforce Certificate prepares students for entry-level data analysis/data science roles by focusing on practical skills: writing Python scripts, cleaning and manipulating data, statistical analysis of data using statistical methods, performing Exploratory Data Analysis, and creating data visualizations with Python visualization frameworks. Graduates will be able to solve real-world problems and build predictive models.
Key Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to:
- Programming Fundamentals: Write, debug, and execute Python scripts using core programming concepts (loops, functions, data structures) for data analysis.
- Data Manipulation & Cleaning: Utilize Python frameworks (typically Pandas and NumPy) to import, clean, transform, and merge complex datasets.
- Statistical and Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Perform descriptive statistics and analyze data patterns to uncover insights using statistical methods.
- Data Visualization: Create clear, impactful, and interactive visualizations using Python visualization frameworks (typically Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly).
- SQL & Database Interaction: Query relational databases using SQL and integrate result sets into Python workflows.
- Basic Machine Learning: Apply machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification) using Python machine learning frameworks (typically scikit-learn, Pytorch).
