NRMG542 Climate Change and Conservation Management
Climate Change and Conservation Management examines the current understanding the causes and effects of climate change and the conservation and management of populations and ecosystems as well as climatic controls on ecosystems. The course will review predictive scenarios for climate change in coming years, effects on vegetation communities, fish and wildlife communities, and include policy discussions as they relate to conservation and management using analysis of primary literature and reviewed by oral and written assignments. Small and large scale effects of perturbations to communities and ecosystem, and their effects on tribal culture and human societies will be discussed.
