MAST154 Clinical Lab II

Clinical Lab II continues the hands-on training of the procedures and skills that are used in the medical assistant profession. Specific competency simulations will include but are not limited to: EHR, collecting a health history, vital signs, specialty exams, sterilization, minor surgical procedures, surgical asepsis, growth charts, electrocardiograms (EKG), venipuncture, capillary puncture, specimen collection and handling, identification of normal ranges, quality assurance and quality control. Students will demonstrate competency procedures represented in the current Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA).
