MAST118 Medical Terminology for the Medical Assistant

Medical Terminology introduces students to a whole-body system approach using systematic, word-building approach to medical terminology. Students will analyze how medical terms are built using common word parts, learn to spell, define and pronounce medical terms associated with each major body system, and interpret common abbreviations in medical terminology. Cultural considerations of the Native population will be emphasized.
