NLTE240 Dual Language Learners: Theory and Practice of Language Acquisition
Dual Language Learners: Theory and Practice of Language Acquisition explores language as a cultural system. Students review first and second language development in children as well as the connection between language development and cognitive development and learning; educational practice implications are discussed. Strategies for teaching language development to second language learners will be examined. Students review and evaluate available dual language learner methodologies and materials reflecting current practices.
