Career Planning

The Montana Career Information System (MTCIS) is an online tool that allows students to complete numerous assessments and explore which occupations best match their interests, skills, and lifestyle preferences. Students can also investigate industries, individual careers, and career options in the military. Other options include identifying appropriate programs of study, learning about apprenticeships. MTCIS lists hundreds of scholarships and grants for every major, so can help students explore options for paying for college.  More career exploration resources are posted on the Career Services website.

Career Preparation

All students are strongly encouraged to active their accounts on Handshake and explore the hundreds of posted jobs and internships available locally and across the nation. Virtual career fairs and employment-related workshops are frequently offered through Handshake as well. A list of other job and internship search sites is posted on the Career Services website.
