NURS476 Palliative Care

Palliative Care uses an evidence-based approach in examining the principles of palliative care. The course will explore palliative care in patients across multiple health care settings. Students will study patterns of disease progression, pain and symptom management and psychosocial support of the patient and family. This course will prepare the nurse to apply palliative care principles and to provide holistic interventions for the patient with a life-limiting illness.
