MAST243 Clinical Medical Assistant II
Clinical Medical Assistant II focuses on emergency and emergency preparedness, first aid, injections and immunizations, collecting and processing specimens. Students will learn the theory and principles of CLIA waived laboratory tests. Students will explore the social, medical and political correlates and consequences of HIV, AIDS, and HCV epidemic. Upon successful completion of course, students will have earned a nationally recognized certificate in HIV/AIDS Awareness. Students will be instructed in the use of an electronic health record system (EHR). Cultural considerations of the Native population will be emphasized. Instructor Permission Required
