PSYC415 Counseling Methods
Counseling Methods familiarizes students with major styles of counseling and psychotherapy in the mental health field. Ethical considerations, laws of the counseling profession, confidentiality, appropriate referral, cultural considerations, and familiarity with different types of mental health support are addressed. Students have the opportunity to try out different counseling styles and gain an understanding of how various techniques may be applied in appropriate situations.
