2017-2018 Catalog

LFSC424 Cellular Biology III: Complex Cellular Systems

This is the last course in a series of three to explore the functioning of a cell at the molecular level. In this course students will study how cells interact with the extracellular environment, as well as other cells, to orchestrate the many functions necessary to maintain life in a complex organism. The molecular action of hormones and drugs will be studied. Additionally, the molecular basis for cancer will be explored.
