Children and Pets on Campus
Children
Children are not allowed in classrooms while classes are in session.
All children must be supervised at all times while on campus. Do not leave children unattended in loungers, hallways, in the library, or in buildings and classrooms at any time.
Pets
Salish Kootenai College does not allow pets on campus.
The following exceptions apply:
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that service animals be allowed access to SKC. The student needs to request a Letter of Accomodation (LOA) from the SKC Director of Disability Services.
Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) are allowed in Student Housing only if the student has requested accommodation with the SKC Disability Coordinator. The animal must be up to date on all vaccinations, and of safe and good temperament. ESAs are required to be indoors or under leash control if outside, and all animal waste must be cleaned up immediately.
