LFSC415 Environmental Chemistry
Environmental Chemistry engages students in the chemical aspects of problems humans and natural disasters have created in the environment. The course studies the procedures at work in various levels of the atmosphere, including; photochemistry, global warming, and acid rain. It also investigates the chemistry of natural waters, the method of action and environmental fate of toxic organic compounds and heavy metals, as well as the management and clean-up of contaminated areas.
