LFSC463 Environmental Toxicology
Environmental Toxicology is the study of the adverse effects health of pollutants in the environment on individuals, pollution, and ecosystems. This course introduces the basic concepts and principles of environmental toxicology, namely source, transport and fate of pollutants; absorption, distribution, and metabolism of various classes of toxicants and classic dose-response relationships. This course will also focus on the effects of environmental pollutants on populations, communities, and ecosystems, as well as modern techniques of bio-monitoring and ecological assessments.
