EDUC392 Teaching Science In The Secondary Classroom I
Teaching Science in the Secondary Classroom I is the first of two courses that engages students in the in-depth study of the theory, design, and application of models of science instruction and of the issues surrounding secondary science teaching. Major topics of study include 1) Constructivist instructional methods such as learning cycles and inquiry, 2) The essential elements of culturally congruent instruction, and 3) Formative and summative assessment strategies that support student learning.
