MAST143 Pharmacology for the Medical Assistant

Pharmacology for the Medical Assistant introduces the use of therapeutic medications in a medical setting. Students will receive instruction in classifications of drugs, clinical use and adverse effects of the most commonly prescribed medications. Specific competency simulations will include administration of medication to include safety and quality assurance; enteral; percutaneous; and parenteral routes of medication; measurement; dosage conversions; dosage calculation; and immunization schedules.
