HAZM171 Site Assessment and Remediation - Subsurface
This course will provide the basic knowledge and concepts needed to help students evaluate potential impacts to soil and groundwater from various pollutants. Contaminants of potential concern include petroleum hydrocarbon compounds, metals, and volatile and semi-volatile compounds. A principal focus of the course will be field site-assessment activities whose purpose is evaluation of the presence, magnitude, and extent of potential contaminants.
