ALLH100 Nurse Aide

Nurse Aide introduces basic nursing care for the health needs of the elderly, disabled, and the acutely and chronically ill. Includes basic human anatomy and physiology, activities of daily living, medical terminology, gerontology, communication, cultural considerations, interpersonal relationships, and ethical/legal concepts for the role of the nurse aide as a member of the health care team. Clinical activities focus on application of these concepts in the various settings in which students may be working to include long-term care, home and hospital environment. The course meets state and federal coursework requirements for certification as a Nurse Aide in the state of Montana.
