MEDA255 Foundations Of Digital Citizenship

"Foundations of Digital Citizenship" provides students with the fundamentals necessary for active, safe, and healthy participation on the Internet - including the World Wide Web, email, social networks, online gaming, and privacy. At the conclusion of this course, students will demonstrate safe Internet practices such as how to effectively search the World Wide Web, citing sources, shopping online, surfing safely, navigation of copyright issues, and exploration of Internet culture. With a particular focus on using the Internet as a medium for succeeding at Salish Kootenai College and life in Western Montana, students will integrate their own identities, sense of place and community while acquiring a "certificate" of Digital Citizenship.
