PSYC341 Gender Differences
Gender Differences explores the term "gender" and the ways in which societies organize people into female, male and alternate-gender categories. This course is concerned with understanding how people in various cultures attach meaning to gender categories, and how they learn, negotiate, and accept or resist societal gender roles. Although the primary focus is on gender, issues of class, ethnicity and race are embedded in the study of gender and are addressed as well.
