NATR110 Physical Field Methods
Physical Field Methods includes techniques designed to gather the data required to answer questions about the physical environment. Students will learn how to approach environmental field problems and choose appropriate sampling methods. In addition to using topographic maps, aerial photographs and Global Positioning Systems (GPS), students will perform water, soil and air quality sampling, stream discharge calculations, and ground water level and geological measurements. Field trips provide the basis for most of the course meetings.
