EDUC395 Teaching Science in the Secondary Classroom II
This is the second of two courses that enable students' in-depth study of the theory, design and application of effective science instruction and the significance of issues surrounding secondary science teaching. This course focuses on 1) the design and use of models, argumentation, and writing to support the development of skills and conceptual understanding in science; 2) the design and use of assessment to support learning and guide instruction; 3) safety in science instruction; and 4) the interaction of science and society.
